Costa Rica is a small Central American republic, bordered by Nicaragua in the north and Panama in the south. It has access to the Caribbean sea on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west.

Costa Rica is known as a tourist haven and a home to many Europeans and North Americans, who enjoy the political stability, slow pace, mile weather and relatively low prices. Once known as Central America's Switzerland, it probably has forfeited this title with rising petty crimes and misdemeanors. Still, it is a tourist magnets, with rain forests, many parks and preserves, clean and beautiful beaches, tropical flora and fauna, and many tourist attractions including water sports, eco-tours and more.
